What is included in our

Warranty Program

  • What is a builder warranty?

    A builder warranty is an expressed warranty provided to the buyer for each of our new home constructions to cover certain home repairs for a specified period after the home is sold by the builder.

  • Do I have to pay for the builder warranty?

    No. The builder warranty is included as part of the sale contract, and there is no extra cost to the buyer. Most of all our new home constructions include a builder warranty, with certain conditions and exceptions.

  • What is the difference between a builder warranty and a home warranty?

    Unlike a builder warranty, a home warranty or extended warranty is really a service contract that the homeowner purchases to cover repairs after the expiration of, or in addition to what is covered by the builder warranty. Sunrise Homes does not provide or sell extended warranties.

  • What is covered under my builder warranty, and for how long?

    Your builder warranty covers workmanship and materials on most components for a period of one year from the date of closing. 

  • What is not covered?

    The builder warranty does not cover appliances, or any components still covered under the manufacturer's warranty. Small cracks in brick, cement or other materials that are expected to settle over time are also not typically covered. Additionally, any out-of-pocket expenses resulting from major warranty repairs, such as living expenses or hotel costs, are not covered by the warranty.
